Classification of Umbrella Fabrics
author:
There are three main types of fabrics commonly used for umbrellas, with costs ranging from low to high: polyester, PG fabric, and nylon.
Taylon:
The characteristic of polyester fabric is that it has a bright color. After rubbing the umbrella fabric in your hand, the creases are obvious and it is not easy to restore. When the fabric is rubbed, there will be resistance and a rustling sound when rubbed. Apply a layer of silver glue on the polyester, which is commonly known as a silver glue umbrella. The silver glue cloth has good UV protection function, but after use for a long time, the silver glue can easily detach from the folded area. Apply a layer of silver powder on polyester, which is commonly known as a pearlescent cloth umbrella. The color of pearlescent cloth is relatively bright and popular among women, but the anti sun ultraviolet effect is not ideal.
PG fabric:
PG fabric, also known as spray fabric, is a new type of fabric with high density impact. PG has the following characteristics: its color is matte and dark. The fabric feels like cotton and has good light resistance. PG fabric has a relatively high cost, but its UV protection function, stable quality, and color grade are all ideal. It is a good umbrella fabric, and generally PG fabric is only used in high-end umbrellas.
Nylon:
Nylon cloth is also a high-end variety of umbrella fabric. This type of rain cloth has a bright color and feels like silk when touched. It can be rubbed back and forth with little resistance. But this type of cloth has a weakness, which is greatly affected by air humidity, causing severe shrinkage of the umbrella cloth, and sometimes even affecting the normal opening and closing of the umbrella surface. So there are not many commonly used umbrella fabrics.
